“No gun, No knife!” A Poem by Surabhi Kashyap

Painting by Sir Mbonu Christopher Emerem titled: The Residue of Moral Struggle

In the world, that incessantly keeps talking,
Do much more than just mocking.
Lament, howl or scream!
If you fail to accomplish your dream.

There’s so much more to do.
There are so many who still Love You!
Though, It’s a battle within,
Don’t put down your chin.

There are endeavours yet undone,
There are still songs you haven’t sung.
No gun, no knife!
It’s not worth ending up your life.

Treasure, obeisance, fame,
Isn’t all that you aim.
Be the best Player of your Game!
Be the first Lover of your Name!

You’ve still wings to earn,
And Shine like the Sun!
No gun, no knife,
It’s not worth ending up your life.
